Your teacher

Hi, I’m Camille, born and raised in Normandy — and of course, I speak Camembert fluently! 🐄

🇫🇷 I’m a professional French teacher with over 10 years of experience, passionate about helping students discover the language —and the culture— of France.

After graduating in English Literature and French as a Second Language, I’ve had the privilege of working for several years at renowned institutions—like the Alliance Française in Argentina—where I taught French, undoubtedly made plenty of mistakes in Spanish, and survived drinking far too much maté !

I’m now also fluent in English and Spanish, so I’ll have no trouble understanding your learning struggles

Teaching style

🎯 My main goal ? At the end of your immersion week, I want you to feel more comfortable and confident using French in everyday situations—chatting with locals, ordering food, or asking for directions without accidentally starting a philosophical debate about the meaning of life.

My teaching style is student-centered, meaning I adapt each lesson to your level, interests, and goals.

I focus on:

🗣️ Speaking and listening skills through real-life conversations and activities.
💡 Grammar and vocabulary in context, so you learn naturally.
🧀 Cultural immersion, combining language learning with the authentic traditions, food and daily life of Normandy.
✨ I believe in positive reinforcement, because learning should be a joy, not a panic-inducing nightmare !

👉 Whether you’re preparing for an exam, looking to boost your conversation skills, or simply eager to experience authentic life in Normandy, I make sure every session is engaging and practical.

After our morning lessons, we’ll enjoy lunch together, often with other friendly locals from Normandy, giving you plenty of opportunities to practice your conversation skills.

🍽️ Meals aren’t included in the price, but we’ll enjoy lunch together: for example, you can bring a starter or dessert, and I’ll take care of the main dish

💚 I use fresh, organic products, that I purchase straight from local farms.

Lunches are a relaxed, fun way to enjoy French food and company!

🌿 I live in the heart of Normandy — yes, right where Camembert is made! Picture rolling green pastures, more cows than people, and charming villages just waiting to be explored. It’s the perfect place to relax, enjoy authentic French life, and of course, taste some amazing local cheese, cider, Calvados and tarte aux pommes !

🏰 We can explore nearby castles, visit Camembert and cider farms, have a French cuisine workshop, enjoy a cheese tasting, drive about an hour to the D-Day landing beaches and museums, or spend a full day discovering the breathtaking Mont Saint-Michel.

💆‍♀️ I can also recommend a relaxing spa experience in the beautiful thermal town of Bagnoles de l’Orne (not included in the price).

Getting there

From Paris, you have two options:

🚅 By train: Paris → Briouze (Paris-Granville line) – around 2h
I’ll pick you up at the station!

🚗 By car: about 3 hours drive

Getting around

🌿 Putanges-le-Lac is a charming little town off the beaten track, where life moves at a gentle pace. Since it’s not overrun by tourists, the locals are genuinely friendly — you’ll feel welcome from the moment you arrive!
