Edwige – French Immersion by the ocean in Brittany!

My program does not include the accommodation. Each day, for 3 hours, students immerse themselves fully in French through a blend of classroom instruction and real-life experiences, such as guided visits, conversations at the market, or seaside walks. Your teacher

I am a certified French as a Foreign Language (FLE) teacher with solid experience working with learners of all backgrounds. What my students appreciate the most is my ability to listen carefully to each individual and adapt my teaching style according to their personality and specific challenges. I strive to create a supportive and personalized learning environment where everyone can feel confident and make real progress.

Helping students gain confidence in themselves and in their ability to communicate is at the heart of my approach. I pay particular attention to pronunciation and listening skills, which are essential for truly understanding French speakers and getting closer to the natural rhythm, accent, and style of the language as it is spoken in real life.

Teaching style

These 3 hours of teaching are just for you.

I do my very best to keep you fully engaged: speaking, listening, participating. It can be quite intense!
I also give you all the techniques I can so that, for the rest of the day, you can keep practicing in real life: doing an activity, a museum visit, in a café or in the numerous galleries and creators' shops we have in town.

Levels taught

Although I teach from A1 to C1, I have a particular passion and specialization in working with levels from complete beginners to intermediate.
I love making it easier for students to understand complicated grammar, helping them develop real autonomy - often within a week.

Seeing students begin to express themselves, understand native speakers more easily, and enjoy speaking French is one of the greatest joys of my work.

There are plenty of opportunities to rent your own accommodation when you come to learn French in Brittany- giving you the freedom to choose the space, size, and price that best suits your lifestyle.

Excursion-Activity: 150 euros (same price for 1 or 2 persons)

To add to your authentic French experience, practice your listening and speaking skills outside of the class!
You will spend 3 more hours with me going on a tour in the area.

No matter your level, I will adapt the language.

- ​There is the possibility to explore a charming medieval village together, visiting the stunning city of Quimper, going to a museum or simply going for a walk along the beautiful coastal paths...there is so much to do!​

Atelier (workshop): 150 euros for one or 2 people

​We offer the possibility to have 2 more hours in the afternoon, emphasizing on a facet you need to strengthen.

​Choose from Grammar, pronunciation or conversation to deepen your practice.

This can be discussed after your arrival if you need a professional advice.

Getting there

The TGV Montparnasse-Quimper takes only 4 hours.
At the train station, you will easily find a bus to reach Douarnenez.
If you wish to fly, the nearest airport is Brest. The best is to rent a car at the airport and drive yourself to Douarnenez.

Getting around

Getting around in Douarnenez is very easy. The town is compact and walkable, so you can reach most places on foot — from your accommodation to the restaurants, shops, the harbor, or the beach. Walking is often the best way to enjoy the charming streets and beautiful seaside views.

If you want to explore nearby towns, there is also a reliable bus network. Regular buses connect Douarnenez with other destinations such as Audierne, Quimper, and other parts of the region.

If you wish to be more independant, we recommend renting a car.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation policy is the following:

- More than 2 months prior to arrival date: 70% of the deposit will be refunded to the student
- Less than two months prior to arrival date: the student forfeits the totality of the 30% deposit paid.
