Delphine – French Immersion in Pau, South West of France
Your teacher
Bienvenue à Pau!
Bonjour! I'm Delphine, your French professor. I welcome you to my charming city in Southwest France and I'm looking forward to making your stay warm, authentic, and memorable.
Whether you're learning French for travel, personal growth, or simply the joy of language, I am here to support your journey with care, hospitality, and a true taste of French life.
With a Master's degree in Teaching and Education and over a decade of experience as a primary school teacher -- and later, as a school director-- I've always been passionate about education. My love for language, travel and culture led me to a new path: teaching French as a foreign language. I earned my DAEFLE diploma with the Alliance Française in Paris and created this program to blend my teaching experience with my love of cultural exchange.
Teaching style
My teaching style is adaptable, supportive, and student-centered. Whether you're:
Preparing for an exam
Learning French for professional purposes
Planning to move to a French-speaking country
Or simply passionate about the language
…I tailor each lesson to your level, goals, and personal interests.
I use a wide range of dynamic, engaging methods — from interactive games and videos to articles, songs, and hands-on practice. With years of experience, I’m especially skilled at breaking down tricky grammar and vocabulary into clear, simple explanations that just make sense.
No matter your starting point, you'll feel encouraged, understood, and motivated every step of the way.
🌍 Live the Language, Not Just Learn It
Immersion is the fastest and most effective way to become fluent in French. But it’s more than just moving the classroom — it’s about stepping into the heart of everyday French life. With French Bubble, your surroundings become your learning space: read French books and watch films in your apartment, chat with locals at the market, or pick up magazines at the library.
My program offers daily opportunities to practice French in authentic, real-life situations. From shopping for fresh ingredients to going on cultural excursions, you'll naturally build the confidence to think and speak in French — without even realizing you’re studying.
Get ready to experience the language the way it’s truly meant to be: lived, felt, and enjoyed.

J’ai adoré mes deux semaines à Pau avec Delphine !
Thanks to Delphine’s daily diligence, I am now familiar with the four areas tested by the DELF, and I have a much clearer sense of the specific criteria required to achieve a PASS. I know my areas of strength and weakness and the fact that there is still much more to learn about the French language !
My partner and I appreciated our separate apartment in the same building - easy to enjoy both our own space combined with lessons and lunches each day with Delphine, and our local excursions in the afternoons.
Les Pyrénées were magnificent, under a fresh spring coating of snow. All in all, we both enjoyed a super immersion which gave me more confidence in my ability to attempt DELF B2, as well as more insights into the French way of everyday life, food and wine.
Our thanks to you, Delphine !
