Your teacher
This profession of being a French teacher for foreigners is truly a choice of the heart! Traveling through each encounter, sharing my homeland, the many attractions of my culture and my city, and guiding you to the highest point of my paradise—the ocean—is a true pleasure.
I have been teaching in Bordeaux since 2018, following a career change and many travels. Every student has unique needs, a particular way of learning, and a distinct personality—all of which my years of experience allow me to identify precisely and adapt my teaching methods accordingly. Combining course content with your visits in Bordeaux is essential! As we say in French, « C’est en faisant qu’on apprend » (It’s by doing that we learn).
Through this French immersion in France, I would like to offer you more than just a week of classes: I want to give you a vacation! My goal is to be your privileged companion in creating unforgettable memories while learning French in Bordeaux and its surroundings.
A little more about me: I love foreign languages, I adore traveling, I’m passionate about history, and I’m also a surfer. Surfing has taken me to more than 25 destinations and allowed me to discover many cultures. In this sport, you must adapt to the whims of the weather and the ocean. Surfing teaches us patience, flexibility, observation, skill, and persistence. These qualities are perfectly aligned with teaching, and that’s why—combining my enthusiasm and strengths—I became a passionate French teacher.
During your stay in Gironde (the Bordeaux region), I hope to guide you everywhere: through our vineyards with their diverse grape varieties, along the coast to breathe in the sea air, feel the soft clear sand beneath your feet, race down our dunes, discover the local flora, and, if you’re adventurous, try a local water sport. Or simply wander through secret spots along the cycling paths that line our beautiful Côte d’Argent!
Teaching style
The style of the lessons will vary depending on your level and expectations.
If you already speak fluently, I’ll focus on corrections as you speak, and I’ll give you grammar explanations on rules you may have forgotten or find tricky.
If you’re between A2 and B1, I’ll design more structured lessons, and we’ll practise during visits and mealtimes as well.
I also enjoy using board games — they’re a fun and effective way to learn and spark engagement!

Your accommodation
I have two guest rooms in my home, available for women travelling solo.
The bathroom is shared. It’s a 1960s building located south of Bordeaux, just 15–20 minutes from the city centre by tram or bike, and 5 minutes from the train station (1st photo) Nothing fancy — just simple and comfortable.
I also have a room in a flashared next door (4 next photos).
Both are very quiet.
If you choose to stay with me, it’ll be a true immersion — a chance to live like a local!
Of course, I also have other accommodation options available, and I can adapt the lodging to suit your preferences.

I love cooking, and I’m happy to adapt meals to your preferences.
I can prepare vegan or vegetarian meals, as well as gluten-free options — though the dishes may be a little less traditionally “French”!
Meals will also depend on how much time we have. The more we study and explore, the less time we’ll have to cook!
But if cooking is important to you, I can organise some lovely workshops — either with me, or with a great local chef here in Bordeaux.
